OASIS® Midnight Waterproof Floral Tape – 1/4" x 60 Yards

Secure floral foam and professional design mechanics without introducing a highly visible green tape line into dark or exposed mechanics. The OASIS® Midnight Waterproof Floral Tape – 1/4" x 60 Yards is a narrow, pressure-sensitive floral mechanics tape designed to hold firmly on containers and other suitable surfaces even when exposed to moisture. Its Midnight black color coordinates especially well with OASIS® Midnight Floral Foam and dark containers, helping mechanics remain less noticeable in contemporary, event, sympathy, and open-design work. Manufactured by Smithers-Oasis for professional floral production, the 1/4-inch width provides precise control for securing foam, reinforcing mechanics, and working around smaller containers where a wider tape would be visually or physically excessive.

• Width: 1/4 inch
• Roll Length: 60 yards
• Color: Midnight black
• Type: Pressure-sensitive waterproof floral mechanics tape
• Primary Use: Securing floral foam and mechanics to containers
• Moisture Resistance: Designed to maintain adhesion when exposed to moisture
• Pairing: Coordinates with OASIS® Midnight Floral Foam

OASIS® Midnight Waterproof Tape is designed for floral work where secure mechanics and discreet presentation are equally important. The dark color makes it particularly useful with black containers, OASIS® Midnight Floral Foam, sympathy pieces, modern event work, elevated designs, and arrangements where portions of the mechanics may remain visible from certain angles. Its narrow 1/4-inch profile is useful for controlled taping across smaller foam sections, container openings, cages, and other mechanics without covering more surface than necessary. Because the tape is pressure-sensitive and moisture-resistant, it can be used to help secure wet floral foam and related mechanics in the humid, water-exposed conditions common in professional floral production.

• Brand: OASIS® Floral Products
• Manufacturer: Smithers-Oasis
• Product Line: OASIS® Waterproof Tape – Midnight
• Width: 1/4"
• Roll Length: 60 yards / 180 feet
• Color: Midnight black
• Adhesive Type: Pressure-sensitive
• Moisture Performance: Formulated to hold firmly even when exposed to moisture
• Handling: Tears and cuts evenly for efficient floral production
• Compatible Applications: Securing floral foam, fastening mechanics to containers, reinforcing foam placement, event work, sympathy designs, and other professional floral applications
• Recommended Pairing: OASIS® Midnight Floral Foam and dark-colored containers or mechanics
• Application Limitation: Best adhesion requires a clean, stable surface; excessive water, residue, dust, or unstable container finishes can reduce bond strength

For the strongest hold, begin with a clean container or mechanics surface and remove standing water, dust, floral debris, or other residue from the area where the tape will be applied. Position the floral foam or mechanic securely, then pull the tape firmly across the foam and press the adhesive onto the container surface with consistent pressure. For larger or heavier designs, use multiple strips in a crossed or reinforced pattern rather than relying on a single narrow strip. The 1/4-inch width is especially useful when working with smaller containers, narrow rims, visible mechanics, or areas where a 1/2-inch tape would cover more surface than necessary.

Although the tape is moisture-resistant, it should still be applied to the driest practical contact surface before water is introduced whenever possible. Press the tape firmly along the full contact area to activate the pressure-sensitive adhesive. In transport-sensitive, elevated, suspended, or unusually heavy designs, waterproof tape should be treated as one part of the overall mechanics system rather than the only structural support; add cages, wire, zip ties, anchors, or other appropriate reinforcement when the scale and orientation of the design require it.

Who Uses This: Professional wedding florists, event and corporate floral designers, funeral and sympathy florists, retail flower shops, floral educators, production studios, and other floral professionals who need discreet waterproof tape for securing foam and mechanics.

Why use OASIS® Midnight Waterproof Tape instead of standard green floral tape?
Midnight Waterproof Tape provides the same type of moisture-resistant mechanical support while using a dark black finish that is less visually obvious with OASIS® Midnight Floral Foam, black containers, and darker design mechanics. This is especially useful in open, contemporary, sympathy, and event designs where portions of the mechanics may be visible. The 1/4-inch width also allows more precise placement than a wider tape. It is a practical choice when both secure mechanics and a cleaner visual presentation matter.

Can OASIS® Midnight Waterproof Tape be used with wet floral foam?
Yes. Smithers-Oasis specifically positions OASIS® Waterproof Tape for securing floral foam and other mechanics to containers, and the adhesive is designed to maintain its hold when exposed to moisture. For best results, apply the tape firmly to a clean container surface before the surrounding area becomes excessively wet. Use multiple strips or additional mechanics when the arrangement is especially large, heavy, elevated, or transport-sensitive. The tape pairs particularly well with OASIS® Midnight Floral Foam.

What is the most efficient way to buy professional waterproof floral tape?

Important Use Note: Apply to a clean, stable surface and press firmly for proper adhesion. Although the tape is designed to hold when exposed to moisture, standing water, floral residue, dust, or unstable container finishes can reduce bond strength. For large, elevated, suspended, or transport-sensitive designs, use additional structural mechanics appropriate to the finished arrangement.
